Your licence key
Your licence key comes with Meridian for WordPress. It looks like ABCDE-FGHJK-LMNPQ-RSTUV. It is in your order email and always available in your account, under Your licences.
What it is for
- Downloading the theme, now and for future updates, from your account.
- Updates inside WordPress. Once the key is entered, new versions appear under Dashboard → Updates while your twelve months of updates last. See updates.
- Support — include it in a support ticket and we can find your order straight away.
The theme itself works whether or not a key is entered, and it never switches your site off.
Entering it in WordPress
- In WordPress, go to Meridian Photographers → Settings.
- Open the Licence tab.
- Paste your key into Licence key and press Save licence.
- Status should now say Active. If your twelve months of updates have
ended it says Active — updates period ended: the theme still works, you just do not receive new versions.
The key is checked once a day. Check again asks straight away.
Capital letters and spaces do not matter
abcde fghjk lmnpq rstuv works as well as the tidy version.
How many sites?
One licence covers one website, shown under the key in your account (for example 1 site). The www. and plain versions of the same address count as one. A second address — a test copy at a different address, for instance — counts as another site.
Moving to a new domain
- On the old site, go to Meridian Photographers → Settings → Licence and
press Remove from this site.
- On the new site, enter the key as above.
If you cannot reach the old site any more, raise a support ticket and we will free the licence for you.
Lost it?
Go to your account and enter the email address you bought with. We send you a sign-in link — no password needed — and your key is on the page it opens.
