Client galleries
A gallery is how a client gets their photographs. You upload, choose how it looks, and send one link. Depending on your settings, they can favourite, download, leave you a note on a photograph and order prints.
Galleries are included on the Free plan (up to 2 galleries) and on Studio.
Make one
- Go to Galleries → Galleries and press New gallery.
- Type a Title, for example Ava and Tom — Wedding.
- Choose the booking it came from under From a booking, or the person it
is for under Or a client. Linking it to a client is what lets delivery times know the shoot has been delivered.
- Choose What clients may download (you can change this later).
- Press Create gallery.
A new gallery is a draft. Nobody can open its link until you deliver it.
Upload
- Open the gallery.
- In the Upload panel, drag photographs onto Drop photos here, or click
it and pick them. JPEG, PNG and WebP files are taken.
- Wait for the count to finish. Thumbnails appear as each photograph is
prepared, and you can leave the page while that happens.
Photographs go straight from your computer to storage, so a whole wedding uploads as fast as your internet connection allows. Large files from the camera are fine. If a file cannot be used, the gallery's screen lists it with the reason.
To add a film, see video in a gallery.
Arrange
- Drag a photograph in the Photos panel to move it.
- Arrange (above the photographs) puts the whole gallery in order at once: By when they were taken, By file name, Shuffle, or **Reverse the current order**. "By when they were taken" interleaves two cameras into the order of the day.
- To remove a photograph, press the small × in its top-right corner.
Sections
Sections split a long gallery into parts, such as Getting ready, Ceremony and Speeches.
- In the Sections panel, type a name under New section and press
Add.
- In the Photos panel, tick the photographs, choose the section next to
Tick photos, then move them to, and press Move.
Removing a section keeps its photographs in the gallery. A section can also be kept for the couple only: see sections only the couple see.
Settings
The Settings panel on the gallery holds the title, downloads, a password, watermarks and the look. Press Save at the bottom after any change.
- Password — type one to make visitors enter it before they see anything. Tick Remove the password to take it off.
- Downloads, PINs and watermarks: see downloads.
- How it looks: see how a gallery looks.
Send it
Press Deliver to client at the top of the Upload panel. It appears once the gallery has something in it. Delivering makes the link work. It only emails the client if you have set up an automation for **A gallery is delivered**; otherwise, send them the link yourself.
After delivery, the gallery's screen shows the Client link, ready to copy, with a QR code under it to point a phone at or print on a card.
Delivering also starts two clocks:
- The original files are removed 30 days after delivery. The gallery keeps working with its high-resolution copies, and downloads of "Originals" fall back to high resolution.
- The gallery closes 12 months after delivery. In its last 30 days the gallery tells the client how long is left, so they can download anything they want to keep.
Keep your own copy of your originals. A gallery is a way of delivering, not a backup.
Finding a gallery
Galleries → Galleries opens on your galleries as photographs, each with its cover, so you can find a shoot by sight. Press List for a table with every column instead, and Photos to go back.
Several galleries at once
On Galleries → Galleries, press List, then tick galleries, choose Send them, **Take back to drafts or Delete them, and press Apply to ticked**. The search box and the All, Not sent yet, Delivered and Closed buttons narrow the list.
What happened
Once delivered, What happened on the gallery shows whether the client has opened it, how many visits, favourites and downloads there have been, and the photographs they keep going back to. Visits are counted without tracking who anybody is.
Deleting a gallery
At the foot of the gallery's screen, under Delete this gallery, press Delete the gallery. The link stops working straight away and the photographs are removed for good. A gallery cannot be deleted while a paid print order from it has not been sent, or while somebody can still download files they bought from it.
To tidy old galleries away without deleting them, use the archive.
Storage
On Studio, the Galleries screen shows how much you are storing and what that costs each month. On the Free plan you have 2 GB; when it is full, uploads are refused with a message saying so.
