Refunds

Fourteen days

If it is not right for you, raise a ticket within fourteen days of purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not have to justify it, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

Fourteen days means fourteen days from the moment you paid, not from when you got round to installing it.

We ask two things:

  1. Tell us what went wrong, so we can fix it for the next person
  2. Confirm you have deleted the files and are not using them

When we cannot refund

  • After fourteen days
  • Where the files have been redistributed or the licence shared
  • Repeated purchase-and-refund of the same product

Resources, such as presets

The same fourteen days apply to resources like Meridian Presets. If a pack is not right for you, raise a ticket within fourteen days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Because a resource is a file that can be copied, we ask you to confirm you have deleted it, and a refund is not available once it has been shared or redistributed. Refunding an order ends your access to the download.

Gift vouchers your clients buy

A voucher sold through Studio is a contract between a photographer and their client. We process the payment and hold the balance; we are not a party to it, and we cannot refund one — the photographer can, from their own takings, the same as any other booking.

Two things worth knowing if you sell them:

They last at least three years and Studio will not let you set less. Australian Consumer Law requires it on a gift card, and several other countries are stricter. Most post-purchase fees are also prohibited.

The balance is money you owe work for, not takings. It is in your account before the job is done, and your BAS counts it when the voucher is spent rather than when it was bought. Studio shows the outstanding total on the vouchers screen for that reason.

If you are in the UK or EU

Consumer law gives you a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within fourteen days.

Because this is digital content delivered immediately, that right normally ends once the download begins — but only if you agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing the right at the time. **We ask for that agreement at checkout, and we record it against your order.**

Whether or not you gave it, our own fourteen-day policy above still applies and is at least as generous. We are not in the business of holding people to the minimum.

Subscriptions

Sites and Studio are paid monthly or yearly, and you cancel them yourself rather than sending us an email. Sign in to your Meridian account, open **Your sites, press Billing & invoices** under your site, and cancel there. From inside your studio, your name at the top right, then **Billing → Change plan, update card or cancel, takes you to the same Your sites** page.

A free account has no payment to stop. If you want a free account closed and removed, raise a ticket.

  • Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund the month you are in, and your site keeps working until the end of it — you have paid for that month and you get it.
  • Nothing is deleted on the day you cancel. Your site and everything in it stay recoverable for 30 days, and we will not touch them in that window. Export whenever you like, before or during it.
  • After 30 days it is erased, permanently and on purpose. We will not hold your work hostage and we will not keep it forever either.
  • No cancellation fee, no notice period, no exit charge, and nothing to ask us for. If cancelling ever needs a conversation with us, that is a fault and you should tell us.

If we cancel your account — which we have done to nobody, and would only do for the acceptable-use reasons in the terms — you get the same 30 days and a full refund of any month paid in advance.

Your consumer rights

This policy sits on top of the Australian Consumer Law and does not replace it. Those guarantees cannot be excluded by anything written here.

If a product is not of acceptable quality, does not match its description, or does not do what we said it would, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund — regardless of the fourteen days, regardless of which country you are in, and regardless of anything else on this page.

How

Raise a ticket with your licence key or the email you ordered with.

  • We answer within two business days and, where a refund is owed, submit it within five business days of agreeing it.
  • The money goes back to the card that paid, because that is the only place Stripe can send it.
  • Your bank then takes five to ten business days to show it. That part is theirs, not ours, and we cannot speed it up — but we can show you the refund receipt the moment we submit it, and we will.

Did this answer it? If not, ask the assistant — and if it cannot fix it, it passes you to a person.
